What will Israel do in a few years when the young Arabs mature to the voting age?

I agree... As with most issues it is easy to miss large elements of complex situations -- and I would call this a large element. I am happy you took the time to give me a clearer view. You must know that I still have problems with Sharon and with the use of the Israeli military in many of its operations, not only on moral grounds but also because I believe it is largely ineffective and in some important ways it is downright counterproductive. On the other hand, Israeli security is an extremely messy issue and I don't have all the insight and knowledge of the situation to take a strong stand on resolving these security issues. I will say that peaceful relations are ultimately the only thing that will work, otherwise it is merely a matter of time before Israel discovers the limited effectiveness of force, when somebody figures out a way to detonate something far more deadly than a car-bomb in Tel Aviv. If peace is the goal then the current military campaign seems doomed to fail.
