Who cares? Reagan was supposed to have fixed everything, right? Yet that was the time that Osama was being coddled, and Rummy was embracing Saddam on Reagan's behalf even as Saddam was using (American) chemical weapons on the Kurds...

This time aroumd we are coddling dictators from Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Pakistan. Of course, they are all "good guys" -- for now.

Did you know that in a speech before the United Nations, Reagan said that there were aliens living on Earth at the present time? Was that Carter's fault too, or did he just "forget" that that was classified.

I think that may be a selective remembering of history.

True, Carter wanted to keep regional pressure on the Iranians.

But he didn't mount the crusade against the Soviet 'Evil Empire'... and he didn't ship Stingers to Afghanistan (or to Iran... for that matter <G>).
