KLP,

You seem remarkably oblivious to the way that the White House and the Department of Death are handing out trips to Iraq for Congressional members. There is a dearth of Democrats going, not because they haven't requested to go to Iraq or Afghanistan, but because the White House has denied them the right to travel. The excuse is usually that suitable security measures cannot be guaranteed.

However, when it comes to loyal Nazi, er, excuse me, Republican Party operatives, there is always a flight available.

Don't you know this? How can you be so ill-informed?

Re: Otherwise, some bright folks might just assume that the trip was a political trip.

And when the Republican Party operatives come back and give glowing reports on the progress that the CPA and Bush are making, I guess that is simply the objective truth and not political??

Some are feeling a lot egg on their face as they try to square their "facts" about how swell things are going with the reality that November has been the most lethal month yet for the illegal invaders from the U.S. in Iraq.

I dont have a problem with any of our elected representatives go to the war zone for their own information purposes, like you, I do have a problem when they make public statements in opposition to the current USA stance which can damage our troops. We USED to have a saying, POLITICS STOPS AT THE BORDER. There was a reason for that, its being ignored. Hillary probably will cost another 300 lives unneccessarily. Wonder if the troops see it that way? jdn

I hear ya!
If the taxpayers paid for Hillary's trip, we should be demand that we be reimbursed!
She traveled enough on our nickle, along with her ugly daughter, Chelsea,
when she was running roughshod over the White House.

Yes we have free speech. But that does not give you the right to yell fire in a crowded theater.

Your screaming about our elected representatives visiting a war zone is simply ranting about how a free nation's people's representatives do their jobs by informing themselves about what is going on. Don't you want the Senators to be informed?

The only thing that Hillary said about the war was that we needed more troops there. That we should support internationalization of the war. Bring in more troops from other countries and share the burden of the war in terms of troops and cost. I agree with Hillary.
