It is obsessive love of Bush that is "Orwellian"; and the endless, shallow equating of anti-Bush to everything Orwellian (or "fascist" or "Nazi" or "Stalinist" - all posted repeatedly right here) is downright laughable. Do you, your fellow Bush-lovers here, and the operators of the seemingly inexhaustible stream of new pro-Bush web sites really think Americans are that gullible? Do you really think that more than a relative handful of them even read this tripe? And do you really think the Cliffs Notes version of 1984 gives you any understanding of Orwell's concerns for society? You are all delusional.

There's no denying the Facist slant of the neocon agenda. One would hope that it doesn't lead to extermination camps as it did in Germany, and there is no evidence that it is, although the Patriot Acts I and II seem to convey the necessary secrecy and cover should it do so. Remember, Germans in the thirties weren't inheirently evil people, they just lost all control of their government, which WAS evil.

Tell me this: if you were around during Hitler's days, and you constantly expressed your horror about him, would a description of your hatred as "obsessive" be fair, or even relevant? In other words: can obsessive be ok sometimes?
