Just saw "Return of the King" and was pleasantly surprised. I am not a fan of the books, and was did not love the first two. This one moved right along and had the best battle scene ever filmed. Makes you realize how bad the "Star Wars" movies are.

In the interest of full disclosure, the context probably matters. ABC apparently has a Person of the Week each week and the guy who ran the 9/11 fund was named this particular week, probably because the program ended this week. In that context, he was citing the guy's accomplishments. In the process, he reported that he was a liberal Democrat who had been selected by Bush to head the program.

Perhaps it was the fish out of water factor that provoked Jennings to use the label. Not the same as mentioning it if he were interviewing somebody or other on the subject of a court ruling or proposed legislation. Still, he said the words so I couldn't resist reporting it. I almost never watch TV news anymore so it was pure serendipity that I heard him say it.

I noticed that the two responses to my post seemed to doubt my veracity in reporting the incident. I'm not accustomed to that and it felt strange.
