we disagree, and I would suggest there are all sorts of ways to build a picture that is sensible if you are willing to do the work, or find someone who has.

relying on a conventional data stream, and particularly one pre-supposed by most to be a trusted data stream, often proves to be an error in itself. Regardless, the true rule requires that all data be discounted, no matter the source, and mostly with equal weight and the first method employed is usually skepticism. x y and z, one two three, rarely takes you anywhere beyond a virtuous circle, hardly a substitute for a sphere.

Remember that macro statistics haven't been used successfully in investing according to plenty of the 'sages' of wall street... let alone in this day and age with the 'real life' underlying those statistics in such flux.
