Noel, paranoia is different from fear. Paranoia is irrational fear. dictionary.reference.com It is not paranoid for Israelis to be fearful. They are being regularly murdered by people who are supported by hordes of others, like in the million, who are sworn to the genocide of Jews in general and Israel in particular.

Fear is a very healthy emotional attribute of humans when danger looms. Irrational fear is the faulty manifestation of the fear emotion when no realistic foundation for the fear exists.

You go to a restaurant with your family, and someone walks in the door and blows himself up, taking out your family. Is it paranoia to have current security concerns? I am not sure I am following you, in any case......
