That man was a classic. One of the things a sociopath is good at is lying and making people believe it. Ie. used car salesmen.

I was not one who thought President Clinton should be impeached, and a casual perusal of the Boink thread will bear this out. Yes, he stonewalled the investigation and lied under oath. While not a supporter (an understatement) of President Clinton, I believe there are some questions that should not be asked. Ken Starr? Don't get me started! <g>

Yes, I know our history is fraught with presidential and other political scandals, and I rest assured that the future will be no different. President Nixon's transgressions did not, in my assessment, rise to a level that warranted Watergate--played out on national TV, if you recall. While "they all do it" is not a particularly sound defense, such was (and probably is) true. President Nixon did not do anything the other party had not done.
