What we need a some severe deregulation of business. Running a business is just too expensive for a lot of small guys. We also need to lower the tax burden at least by half or more. That means severely cutting government.

Ain' gonna happen. It is as good as it ever will be. America is on the European trajectory. That ultimately means a loss of freedom and the American way of life.

Two points about your post.
First Bush is spending money as though it were free. Gov't can be as guilty as individuals on this. Second There is a point of diminishing returns which we may have passed re tax cuts. There is a tax burden which can be too low to ever pay for gov't bills no matter how much growth is stimulated.
