Michal, I think the bottom line is that...

...if you do a lot of macro photography you probably need a macro lens and not the
standard lens kit. Also, you can always shift to manual focus or just toy around
until you are confident the autofocus is working.

I do not see this as a make-or-break issue for this camera.

Wondering whether pros are shelling out 3 or 4 grand for a multi-gig CF card or whether
a pocket full of 512 MB cards suffices. Don't see the logic in the giant cards.

Nikon D70 Viewfinder

Michal, I wanted to say that if you have reasonably good vision it is clear
from the viewfinder what is in or out of focus. To hear someone complain that
their macro shots all came out back-focused and yet not realize this during the
shooting itself seems to be a pretty weak argument.
