I can't remember there ever being someone that I really wanted to vote for during my lifetime, for any office.

It has always been a lesser-of-two-evils situation. That is probably because government itself is a necessary evil.

Has there been anyone that you felt enthusiastic about?

I know most of the posts on this board are related to Iraq or the mideast.

Right now, I'm starting to think that I may vote for whoever is going to have less extremists following him. That's why I find much that is posted here very interesting, moronic perhaps, but interesting.

The right wingers seem to have Bush moving into the bedroom, preventing stem cell research, perhaps they'll put a billion or so into the war on porno, like the war on drugs. If he's elected, I only hope that he puts these nutcakes in some drawer some where, a commission that wastes a few million bucks rather than destroys our freedoms.

On the other hand, I worry about the left wingers who seem to turn their head and find an alternative universe explanation for things that are right in front of one's eyes and have a real world explanation. The plus here is that Kerry is certainly not the liberal that he is being portrayed. I'm more concerned that Kerry just does not have the temperament to get by the personal attacks.

I thought he self-destructed yesterday with those lame explanations and then just going after Bush's record from 30 years ago when he said he wouldn't do that and that it was improper when people did this to Clinton.
