"the rightwing was busy calling anti-war protesters "evil" and "communists". The Pope was antiwar so does that mean he was also evil and a Communist? The Pope hid Jews in his church basement during the second world war. He also wrote an underground newspaper in Poland that helped bring down the Communist regime in Poland. THe rightwing rhetoric is totally without base. It plays to citizens that are uninformed and narrowminded ( sometimes better known as no-minded).

Today's rightwing is a threat to our democracy. It is a hugely funded and orchestrated indoctrination machine, so big and well funded that it rivals the former Soviet and Nazi propaganda machines. Study it and you see how they have a very well organized echo chamber which every day repeats the same daily lies, spin or deflection. Gee, I didn't realize that we had state control of the media. I must have missed the memo. You diminish your message everytime you talk about Soviet and Nazis. Off the wall stuff. Speaking of echo chambers and daily spin...
