Having just returned from Great Briton, I can say with certainty that the image of America is very tarnished. While the hatred is mostly targeted towards Bush, there is every indication that the image of America itself is deteriorating. At one bar the musicians played a song with lyrics that the people they were making fun of (Americans) were "ASSHOLES". The crowd roared! It is hard to convey how sad that is to an American who loves his country!

The Republican bad / Democrat good or vice versa is getting pretty damn tiring to me. Can you tell me either party has an answer? This country isn't hated because of any single administration or party and I have to believe down deep you do not take that simplistic view either.
