Are you from that area?
Or are you from the Old Sod? (Erin Go Bragh!).
Is the spelling of your name a variant of Kerrigan?
Ever kissed the Blarney Stone? and sang songs like
Molly Malone (of Dublin City)?

I used to live close to that area you mentioned. My neighbour used to bring honey to me from farms around Niagara-on-the Lake!

A time was when I was attached to McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario. From there I often drove to the University of Rochester, Rochester, New York. Then I lived for a while in St. Catharines. From there I often visited Niagara Falls (who says it's not a lovely place?) and Buffalo in connection with academic and artistic interests. I was so busy I didn't have much time to explore the environs and rural areas. I do know that Niagara-on-the-Lake was very close by where I lived.

On several occasions, I drove via the Queen E to Toronto, took the 401 to Kingston and Ottawa and sometimes in the other direction from Toronto to London, Kitchener (named after Lord Kitchener) and Windsor. From Windsor I sometimes took the rural route (including Hwy. 2) and passed through Chatham (named after Earl of Chatham or William Pitt the Younger) and Rodney (after Admiral Rodney) and a number of other places with very English names and eventually returned home to Dundas (named after a place in Scotland).

Right now I am somewhere in Western Canada. The nature of my work requires that I keep my location a secret, at least for for the time being.

Dick - are you going to make your way through the dictionary - and make over 1,000,000 posts (including scientific words)? Well if so - start your own thread - and go get 'em tiger! Hint: the first word in the dictionary starts with 'a' and not 'e'
