<<Bin Laden's Goal: Kill 4 Million Americans>>

Considering the years of planning, the patience, and the persistence of OBL's group the chances are better than even that another attack has long been planned.

There is enough hatred of Westerners that funds will always be available to people who will do the job.

The attack would be to hit us symbolically or economicly. Or just kill a lot of people.

Which explains my feeling that America made the right choice to wake people up, build up our Military, give them experience in fighting on foreign soil. And prevent the enemy from getting access to WMD's.

Because the next time ( a loss of 4 mm) will have to be the last time we wait for just one more attack before deciding that it really is a case of "them or us" and we ( the West) will need access to ME oil to prevail.

What the terrorist planners must now realize in light of our powerful response to 911 is that they will have only one more chance so they will try to make it a good one.

What foreign leaders must know is that if they are one who sponsored terrorism they will be No 1 on our hit list
and that hits will be made.

WDC would be high on your list unless they consider it so highly guarded that the chances of success are too slim.

I am all for nailing the bastard to the walls. Now tell me this, if nuking US is what they wanted to do, why didn't they do it before 9/11 when security was less of a problem for them?

I'd like to think we'll catch Osama soon, but rumours have it, as has been reported previously in public media, that he might have swung a deal for protection within Iran. The Pakistanis have put tremendous pressure on their NW tribal leaders to drive our Al-Qaida elements.

I was wondering if it was going to be Syria, or Iran, that would be next on the agenda, for reforming.. It's seems pretty certain that, if true, Iran will be the next target..

And it makes sense because Iran is the source of much of the turmoil in Iraq right now..

Lots of little deals with the Shiite clerics and leadership.. Watch the news regarding the Badr Brigage in the future, if they cover it..

I heard some RUMINT that they might be trying to infiltrate the Iraqi security forces in order to create sway over the military institutions.

The interim government is going to have to make a decision as to how they are going to handle fundamentalist elements within their ranks.

Remember what happened to Sadat..

Also, any defeat visited upon the Sunnis can be construed as the "will of Allah" on their behalf in creating this opportunity to have a Shiite state within Iraq. That's not going to be permitted.

Which means that Iran is going to come under some terrific pressure over the next year, IMO.

And any evidence that Osama is in Iran will only fire that determination to swing in that direction (which would, no doubt, benefit the Wahhabists who seek to supress the Shiites within their midst).
