Glenn, would agree with part of your post but would not venture as far as you wrote in the 5th paragraph - as I do not think that a take over of the State is in the cards. On the other hand I do believe that scores of unqualified people are gaining positions in the US administration on pure protectionism and favoritism and chart to many ill conceived economic policy issues which will bring us on the brink of collapse. In this regard neither the Rep or Demo are any different. Some milder extortion policies are called “pork” at a time it is plain extortion for allocation of funds for ill conceived economic issues - and no one is up in arms about it.
