>And the next time anyone wants me to think about my kids (or my future kids, given that I don't have any), I'll remember all of those "kids" that died on 9/11 who never chose to be martyrs. And I'll support every single one of the soldiers in Iraq, and Korea, and Afghanistan, and wherever, so that they can keep America and the rest of the free world safe.

JF, "POLITICAL AGENDAS" my ass, think about people's real life kids, kids they love, many are going to die.

They weren't drafted. They CHOSE a soldier's life. This isn't Vietnam. Get over that time period.

That doesn't change the fact that many feel the war is senseless and people are dying and getting crippled needlessly.

Death is death......its the end of life as we experience it.........volunteering or not doesn't make it better.

Stop turning the people from 9/11 into martyrs. They were victims of an horrible event, not martyrs. Martyrs are people who willingly volunteer to die for a principle. I am sure not one of the 9/11 victims would want someone to die in their name just because they were victims.

And you took your "anyone but Bush" mantra a little too far when you said that William Hung would be an acceptable presidential candidate for Al. It was fairly cavalier and suggested that there is no substance to Al's and the rest of us doves position, and that any idiot but Bush in the WH will make him happy. That's not at all true and whether you want to publicly acknowledge it or not, we have an effective argument supported by sound facts for why America should not be in Iraq.

Just like with all of us, some of those facts are personal but all of them are very real. And as more and more Americans are effected by the downside of this war....with death, beheadings and maimings....those issues will become even more real.

And like I've said before, I think it will get worse before it gets better.
