I don't think capturing Osama would surprise anybody, or win Bush any votes he hasn't already got. I know I'd just assume they had him on ice waiting to do this. This time, any crap the Republicans pull will be instantly suspect. The level of scrutiny they face is intense. Another terrorist attack could easily be seen as another Bush failure. I think the wise thing for them to do is play it straight.
