Hi Ralph,

No campaign necessary by the agent, imo.

Maybe more a result of a little dash of everything discusssed here,,, immigration, low rates by the feds, and loose lending habits...certainly not a conspiracy by agents.

The rental market will come back. A slight adjustment with interest rates might be the answer. Maybe the banks tightening lending habits.

Your sister neighborhood to the south has plenty of "for rent" signs, but place an ad in the PI and the phone will ring very consistent, although not at the pace in the year's past. The quality of the renter might be another issue...

Actually Ralph you are really going off the deep end. Your posts are leaving the realm of the real world.

Washington is a great place to live.

Vancouver is definitely a beautiful liveable city. Is the bubble bursting there? It was still going nuts last summer when I visited.

<<realtors and other speculators are involved in a propaganda campaign to drive house prices up. I stand by that statement. If realtors are not benefiting somehow from speculators driving unwary young people people into this dangerous market then they are stupider than I thought for participating in this new version of the tech wreck. For the sake of simplicity lets call these irresponsible housing hypers 'home wreckers'.

Who cares about Washington DC? Its a hell hole and the only reason anyone would want to live there is it is central to government and maybe they must.

I live in Vancouver BC rated consistently the best city in the world to live in. If you don't believe that then this conversation is over. Prices are now coming down and the rental market is dead....now over 2% vacancy rates and moving up.....high for Vancouver. >>

Ralph.....

It's interesting news that prices are coming down and your rental market is dead in Vancouver. What's wrong with the REALTORS up in your area if they can't "keep the bubble alive"?

And what's wrong with the job situation and living conditions in your city that real estate demand has slumped so badly? Can't those REALTOR rascals keep things going up there all by themselves with a nice "propaganda campaign"?

After all, Vancouver is the "best city in the world to live in", according to some source you didn't bother to identify in your post.
