Saddam Hussein's daughter says she might hire an American lawyer to make sure her dad gets a fair trial. I think that's a compliment. I think.

I curse like a sailor, myself, but would have to be so angry as to lose control before I'd say "shove it" to a reporter at a political event.

I don't think her language was first-ladyish, but I wouldn't have called it "foul," which is why I asked. We hear so much worse nowadays.

FWIW, I decided about ten years ago to clean up my language. I determined that I wasn't proud of it and that that just wasn't the image I wanted to project. Once I made the commitment it only took about three days to banish it. I was surprised at how easy it was.

Of course, hyperbolically comparing some condition to "hell" wouldn't qualify as inappropriate language in any venue in my book. Used as an interjection, however, it would. <g>

I think as far as curses are concerned the administration probably has an "advantage" over Kerry and his entourage. Remember Dick Cheney's public response to senator Leahy's Halliburton questions with "go f*ck yourself", or Bush's characterization of a pesky reporter as an "a$$hole"?
