Chris,
Hear anything more about that house whose flyer was put on your doorknob?
Wasn't it like $159k for 7 BR, 4.5 baths.

Chris, I admire your decision. But if you don't mind my asking, do you have any children? If so, do you think your new home is going to provide a good environment to raise the next generation? Part of the reason why I want to stay in the Boston area is because of my kid(s). Otherwise, I could have easily quit my job and go live like a king in a third world country with the small savings that I have.

<<I don't know why all Californians don't do it while they can.>>

Well a few of us live in Northern California and can't find anywhere we like better. IMO the Bay Area as a package deal is unbeatable. Seattle comes in second place for me, but it's a much smaller urban area (four or 5 times smaller in regional population).
