Karen,

Choice is about the legality of abortion ... Conjoining the concepts is either hyperbole...or a critical thinking shortfall.

Since you bring this up, define 'abortion'.

Does life begin at birth, at first breath or at conception or at a point of viability? This is critical to a debate.
Many Christians view life as starting at conception and this colors their view of embryonic stem cell research. The pro-choice activist crowd - appear to view it as 'at first breath' - otherwise partial birth abortion would not be so hotly debated.

As for the Euthanasia discussion - many late term abortions are because of discovered defects in the fetus. The issue of spina-bifida is particularly reprehensible because these children are routinely saved in this country and the real reason for 'mercy' killing is cost control in socialized medical settings.

Two different concepts.

I think they cojoin when the fetus is viable.
