UW, I know this is a stupid question, but since the permit is for a concealed weapon, what if a guy just strapped on a holster with a .45 in it? That ain't concealing anything. In a lot of the Southern and South Western states, there are still a lot of pick-ups driving around with full gun racks in the back window.

being from boston i do not remember ever seeing gun except on cops and gangsters. g

moved to los Angeles and it seemed a lot of people carried.

one said to me i would never drive from la to vegas without a gun. in fact i never go anywhere with out one. He never had one in work so i assumed he meant while driving. he said you do not want to break down out there with out some protection.
