George Bush has essentially burned the bridges, with a prewar Rumsfeld calling France and Germany "old Europe", freezing France out of Iraqi reconstruction and fostering an anti-French movement in America."...... IMO a necessary and good move by President Bush....get rid of the old bridges to the old despots of the world. Leaders like chirac need to be by-passed and NEW BRIDGES built with leaders of the world who do NOT support the enemies of the civilized world. Have you noticed that the UN is desparetly trying to effect change from within that corrupt organization? Do you think that needed change would be sought without President Bush telling the UN enough is enough.... shove it.? What is your take on the great UN's role or lack of in the Sudan where thousands upon thousands of innocent tribal africans are being murdered daily by moslum arab killers? Should this ineffective and corrupt organazition be in a position to determine how many innocent people die....like Rwanda? And kerry wants the USA forces under the control of the UN and it's members which include muslum dictator controlled countries....THE ENEMY.

The only problem is the French always looked for the US to save their ass,,, Kerry probably expects the Germans to save the US?
