David, the best thing Kerry supporters can do right now is shut-up and let him continue to act like a "stronger, smarter" leader on the war on terror. The moment they start opening their mouths and contradicting Kerry's optimism of success in Iraq is the moment that they erase any gains Kerry will have made tonight.

Kind of a tenuous position they've put themselves in, but then again, I can't say that Bush hasn't put us Republicans in a tenuous position, either. I still think Bush can win this, but he seems very unwilling to push Kerry's buttons, and I think that's a political mistake.

David, RE: "Kerry obviously won the debate."

Does anyone have access to the most current polls?

I checked CNN.com and it's 79% Kerry for "who won the debate", but am wondering if there are any other polls out there?

Regards,
Amy J

re: Kerry obviously won the debate.

Surprised to see you admit that.

If Bush had won, I was going to post "game, set, match". I think it would have been lights out for Kerry.

Now it should be a real horse race... and the organizations in the various swing states become all important.

While he won the debate, he is still a liar and a waffler and the thought of him as president STILL makes a lot of people cringe.

Ahhhh, give him a chance. It would be hard for him to do as poorly as Bush considering the resources the President has available, and Kerry actually seems sort of smart.
