I like the 3 reasons theory the best:

(1) Control rich oil fields;
(2) Protect Israel; and
(3) Create massive permanent military bases

That accusation is specious. There's no "there" there. We could have bought oil from Iraq with Saddam, and we will buy it from Iraq without him.

You know that your argument doesn't make sense.
