Why don't you give it a try?

I walk on my treadmill every chance I get...usually at 3:00 while I watch Brit Hume. I don't do real good job of watching my diet.....I'm only a few lbs overweight though....so I don't feel much pressure.....and my cholesterol is very good.

Niacin helps. I take 2000 milligrams a day. That's a bunch.

Bran is good, so's oatmeal. 180 minutes of heart accelerated exercise a week is important. Udo's Choice (http://www.esupp.net/florainc.html) is a wonderful product. Statins are great and better drugs are emerging.

At the time of my heart problem my cholesterol was 230. It is now 100.

John, I wouldn't worry too much about cholesterol. In the 30 year follow-up of the Framingham study, high cholesterol was not predictive at all after the age of 50. The study found that there was no increased overall mortality with either high or low serum cholesterol levels.
