I believe the drug companies should raise prices on the Rich Canadians and Europeans. I understand they are doing just great and have better economies than the US.

Let me tell you something. Organized labor, is dead against socialized medicine. They work hard to have good benefits as part of contracts. If they are then given to all by the government they lose. They then would have to ask for more cash and that is inflationary as well as is the rising medical costs. It could be worked out, but there is no free lunch.

Medical costs referencing drugs can be curbed to a degree by the ridiculous hospital charges for inpatient drugs. I have had 50 dollar fees on hospital bills for "aspirin"

At least I haven't seen the rape of "consultants" that used to occur. Doctors you never saw before walking in your room with other doctors lol Ask you how you feel and tell you your doctor asked them to look in on you. They all sign the chart and bill the insurance companies. I haven't noticed that my last few trips.

In case you missed it, Medicare now has a prescription drug program, while not free, you get a TON of drugs for a very very very low subsidized price. You can thank Bush for this benefit.

The biggest reason that health care costs rise each year is that more and more drugs are invented and therefor more and more drugs are available to people that need them.

If a drug was discovered that completely cured cancer, prescription drug costs would go up dramatically the next year. This would be a GOOD thing.

30 years ago the amount of money that we spent on prescription drugs was tiny. That's because there weren't any prescription drugs!
