Could not agree more - but this job is the same whether Democrats or Republicans are in the White House. I just want to state the obvious to remove any sense of partisanship.

I'm a conservative, and have been very active (a little less so the past 12 months) in politics at the party level, and I don't trust either side as a result.

Citizens need to take their jobs seriously, not just sit back and pretend its someone else's problem.

Festus, wake up and smell the coffee, when addressing his base, "the haves and the have-mores", George Bush quipped that "you can fool some of the people all of the time and those are the ones to concentrate on." (Gridiron Club Speech, March, 2001)

Now Raymond, don't you think using quotes from a Gridiron Club roasting are just a bit disingenuous in what you're trying to portray? I thought it was just a big group of reporters & correspondents...is that his base?

I always thought you took the "high road" on your homework.

No, this has nothing to do with Bush, as my position on the matter was exactly the same under president Clinton.
Whoever the president is or which party or side of the political spectrum they are from, a strong defense against nuclear missiles is sorely needed, before some group of nuts lobs a few our way.
