A small corporate jet crashed in Colorado a while ago. About 6 folks on board...the pilot and co-pilot died. They may have hit guard rails straight on at the end of the runway.
Dick Ebersol, Prez. and CEO of NBC Sports was a passenger, and so far he's alive. Good fortune Dick! You're a good guy.
A witness said he heard it explode on takeoff and then caught full blaze at the end of the runway. Snow, falling gently at the time was not a culprit they think.
Dick was a co-creator of SNL with Lorne Michaels.
Hope Dick makes it through uninjured too much, but the witness said the second blaze was very large as they were taking off with full fuel.

Re: "(Ralph) Reed is one smarmy, but effective, character."

Smarmy is a good word for this little conniver. Though I tend to use the word "evil", since it's the expression that most church-going types can understand.

One doesn't want to use complex language when trying to persuade the masses, as all good propagandists know. :)
