Locally, supermarket prices of beef, chicken, eggs and fresh vegetables are up about 100% on average from what they cost 30 months ago.

If that's stability, I'd hate to see the opposite.

I'd forget about gold for awhile, oil will spike up during the winter but most important keep an eye on junior mining companies, particularly those in the Athabasca Basin of Saskatchewan that may be on to new uranium discoveries.

These three have money and exploration programs that include drilling over winter 2004/2005.
