<<pure and unadulterated San Diego Horse Puckey...accounts for the relatively abysmal take up of QCDMA >>

If horse puckey and CEO - down FUD bears a causal relationship to low market share, then how do you account for the widespread deployment of GSM and WCDMA given the CEO - down Espoo horse poop that is much more unadulterated than the San Diego variety, based as it is on outright lies, as in-

JORMA to Bill Gates - "1x ev-do is a fraud."

as opposed to some claimed sleight of hand only arguable half truth with a chart.

Respectfully

Eric - Do you have an excuse for their unique top-down/CEO-down combo of Hype and FUD that is totally unique in this industry today?

Oh come now! You know that Nokia does just as much hype of this type. I am not saying I like it, but like it or not it exist not just in the communications business but everywhere - I can't count high enough to tell you how many sales pitches I've sat through in my job that had sins vastly more eggregious than that. What's up?

<My point is CREDIBILITY .... a requisite to compete in this industry.>

Haw, haw, haw!! Oh Eric L, that is so funny. I rest my case without further ado.

You have just pointed out that Nokia is gaining market share again, and has been doing really well in CDMA too, having come from a standing start. L M Ericsson is also doing very well now, after a horror Biotelecosmictechdot.com bust. So, you can see that credibility isn't a prerequisite for competing and doing well in this industry.

Credibility?!! From a haggle of hagfish?

Giggle,
Mqurice

PS: Hmm, you know Eric L, this isn't all that good for YOUR credibility. You'd better retract quickly, resile and withdraw.

ERICL: So just where on the "CREDIBILITY" scale would you place NOKIA? How many times have they reduced their estimates just prior to the quarterly reports? In this case, the analists where publicly expressing how NOKIA had lost credibility.

Speaking of a loss of credibility....

Eric L,

Your attitude towards qualcomm has always amazed me. It is like you have had a personal problem with them? You do work in the industry don't you?

I have owned both NOK and Q, and with that said I think NOK has more BS than a lot of other companies out there. I realize that a lot is at stake, so I accept BS will take place, and in most industries.

I know qualcomm isn't perfect, but they do a very good job!

As you would say, "best",
John
Go Q!!

EricL, I will take silence as surrender. <PS: Hmm, you know Eric L, this isn't all that good for YOUR credibility. You'd better retract quickly, resile and withdraw. >

Irwin Jacobs' credibility is preeminent, a month, or two, or three, here and there, notwithstanding. Far more bankable credibility than that of the hagfish guild.
