cirrus. You said...."I pointed out that the Shiites in Iraq are acting in their own logical best interest, which to you is an example of untrustworthyness in Muslims.".....

Here is what you said...."....."However, the Shia are intelligent, and will say and do all the right things to encourage Americans to continue to fight for stability and security in Iraq, which means continue to kill the Sunnis, who will never accept a Shia dominated government. So, in essence, we have Americans spilling blood and treasure to fight a civil war on the side of the Iranian leaning Shia.".....

Now I don't know about anyone else but it sure sounds to me as though you are saying Iraqi muslims can not be trusted. One would think that iraqi shia muslims would be USA allies after all the ...as you say " spilling blood ".... taking place in defence of Iraqi freedom....But you seem to be of the opinion that Iraqi shia muslims can not be trusted and lean towards Iran instead of the country that lost so much in helping them. I agree with your opinion of shia Iraqi muslins...they can not be trusted.

And yes I do take your statement as an example of muslim untrustworthyness.

cirrus....."I brought up Bush's Sr's actions to illustrate that there are two sides to every story. The Shiites feel Americans are untrustworthy because Bush Sr abandoned them after urging them to rise up against Saddam. They're cautious, fearing it may happen again......"

What I had said to you was that IMO the majority of muslims are untrustworthy at best....I was not talking about Iraqi muslims only so really your comment about Bush Senior being untrustworthy IMO was simply a dig at a past Republican president who may or may not have done the things you stated.

I also had heard that Bush senior had encouraged Southern Iraqi shia muslims to rise up against sadam but I have never ever seen any credible evidence that such is the case....do you have any information on this?

I had thought that perhaps Iraqi shia's thought that the USA would continue on to Baghdad and remove sadam and were not aware the the UN was calling the shots and stopped the war when Kuwait was liberated..... Just my opinion though.

You said/asked...." What would your attitude to America be if you happened to be born an Iraqi Shiite?".....

I have no idea and IMO it is not an answerable question to ask someone who was not raised as a muslim and may have been taught all their lives that the infidel is inferior.

How bout you...can you answer that question? :-)
