you might want to research what your liberal democrats are advocating...you can start looking in 1993 under the first black president's administration...

btw,
did you know Bush has a plan for making up that cut for younger workers? You should; the left has been whining about it ever since Bush mentioned social security reform!
lol

Amy, Jim, your buddy Bush wants to cut future SS benefits to young people by 40%.

The article said nothing about whether that cut is across the board, or only for those who chose to invest a part of their SS tax.

Meanwhile, Sen. Charles Schumer came up with perhaps the funniest statement I've heard in a while:

"The president has to decide whether he wants to take the lead in fixing Social Security or whether he wants to take the lead in effect destroying the most successful social program in history."

ROTFL!!!

Amy J,

your buddy Bush wants to cut future SS benefits to young people by 40%.

Well, hopefully he will not stop there, and continues 100% cut, so that 0% goes from "benefits", 100% from personal accounts. Some countries are way ahead of the US in this area.

Joe

Bush wants to cut future SS benefits to young people by 40%.

and your liberal senator is bragging that no personal retirement account and losing 30% by ignoring the problem is better....

cnn.com

"Even if we did nothing, [Social Security] would still have enough money in there to pay everyone 70 to 80 percent of benefits," she said.

I'll take a 40% cut and my own retirement account in the stock market....and if I die, my kids get the rest.....
