I know a number of people working for Google, and most of them aren't selling. The people that do my financial advising have lots of clients at Google, and they were bemoaning the fact that they can't get their "kids" to sell even 10% and put it in bonds . The only person at Google that I know that is selling got badly burned a couple of times in the past, and even he hasn't been able to sell much, and he said that he was going to wait until after the lockup ended to see where things go. So he's edgy, but very optimistic about the future of the company.

Yes, those calling for a Valentines Day Massacre are completely discounting the possibility that the people in Google really believe in this company, know about the incredible long term projects being developed, see the best and the brightest getting hired, see the legends from other companies coming over, and simply truly love this Google.

Call it Google religion, Google family, or whatever...I think those employees all share it.

that has been my experience too, that the people I know that are at goog or have friends at goog aren't selling. Just like at oracle 10-15 years ago, the employees actually ADD to the demand for shares. You know more there than me, I think though. I don't know too many.
