He is presenting his currently ... evolved and IMO superior concepts on the topic of bannings. You are not banned even though you have presented opinions as provocationally as you are able. "And he's got someone banned right now. What difference does it make if you ban intermittently, ban one person, or thirty?" As I understand it. Redfish is banned as a personal issue not because of his political positions, which as far as I can see are not all to one political agenda. Banning one or a few periodically could be viewed as fair to keep the thread discussion flowing if someone is ranting profusely or something and keeping others from moving rational discussion forward. I haven't banned anyone from my threads but I can understand the justification of it on occassion. The abuses at SI are in the area of attempting tyranny of thought. I personally agree with Jeffeson on this: ”"I have sworn upon the altar of God eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man"?

I thought you said you'd never come back. And he's got someone banned right now. If you read the bottom og the header, you will see why the fish is banned. And the conditions for the release of that ban. It is completely under his control. All he has to do is LET MY PEOPLE GO! And he has been told that in PM, so he is fully aware of it. He need only notify me that he has eliminated his bans and I will unban him. As to the rest, I'd say Jewel got it right. Don't turn into "laura bush" and you've got nothing to worry about. (OTOH, I don't think you really have it in you to become that. Hasn't been evident so far. The Kidd may be a different story.)
