You are mistaken. The discussion is about bringing clarity of meaning, so terms that have been contaminated by political agendas in order to make something more appealing or friendly sounding are particularly pertinent to this thread.

The agenda or service it self is not what is being criticised, it is the terminology that was used to sell it.

Back in the 80s I was particularly incensed about the marketing of 'small stakes gambling' to the public. The lotteries would bring additional funding to our forests and parks. Casinos would help to restore neglected tourism spots. This would all be made possible by tourists simply wanting to have a shot of red eye and throw down a buck like the old time gambler in the wild west ... to enhance his visit to the old time ghost town or river boat or whatever.

I knew it was fake and was even more pissed as soon as the legislation passed. Right away you saw charter busses waiting outside the blue collar factories on pay day and lined up at the particular time of the month when social security checks were due. You don't go unless you buy a round trip ticket, because most will return with empty pockets. A buck and a glass of red eye whiskey my butttttt.

I am not protesting the industry or the people who honestly want to live that way, I am protesting the marketing fraud that was used to bring this legislation about.
