Never heard that before, interesting yes ... do you mean more diverse genes within each individual, or that the continent has more diversity in the form of genetically distinct ethnic groups [more 'races', in a terminology that's probably non-PC now] .... they say that the great majority of europeans can be traced back to seven original mothers, the 'Seven Eves', and they've named them ... they can do this because there is part of each cell that is purely matrilinear, mitochondrial [sp?] DNA, and quite stable through the generations Best evidence to date, is that we all came out of Africa, if you trace it back far enough ... maybe they'll find something earlier than that in the Rift Valley, but chances would appear good that it'll be not too far away .... and it's pretty hard to imagine multiple origins for the species, never heard anybody credible propose such a theory, the odds are too long Natives of the Americas do 'much poorer compared to Africans'? ... oh boy, you'd want to be careful where you stated that in México -g- ... most mexicanos are mestizos, and many of the rest fairly pure indigenous ...
