>Ray Rockafeller (D), no problem

Don't know much about this one.

>Mel Martiniz (R), problem.

Has a history of this stuff, apparently.

>Harry Reid (D), maybe problem - but no big whoop;

Maybe did something bad once.

>Tom DeLay (R), problem needs immediate attention.

Abuses his power all the time.

>Bill Clinton (D) - perjurer / allegedly used power to get sex, no poblem;

Was being witch hunted... got consensual oral sex -- who cares? I see nothing wrong with having sex with someone who wants you for your power... women have wanted to have sex with powerful men since Day One.

>Bob Packwood (R)- allegedly used power to get sex, no comment.

If I recall correctly, was making unwanted advances... not the same as consensual sex.

You are generally fed up with Republicans and forgiving the lapses of Democrats. I can recall only once recently (when you saw the article on Harry Reid) when you expressed some negative towards a Democrat. Everything else seems to be just peachy.

That's not true. I have complained on a number of occasions re. the lack of backbone that the Dems have shown the GOP. I was furious that they went along with Bush's plans to invade Iraq with nary a whimper. The GOP is getting away with so much of their anti American behavior only because the Dems are so weakened. This was all before you were posting on this thread. If there was a Dem that was as despicable as Delay, I would be all over him. While I favor the Dems' ideology over the GOP's, I continue to be a registered independent.

Its just that the GOP is so damn corrupt; its nearly intolerable. And your defense of that behavior only infuriates me more.

Ray Rockafeller (D), no problem; Mel Martiniz (R), problem.
Harry Reid (D), maybe problem - but no big whoop; Tom DeLay (R), problem needs immediate attention.
Bill Clinton (D) - perjurer / allegedly used power to get sex, no poblem; Bob Packwood (R)- allegedly used power to get sex, no comment.

Packwood is a pig. Delay is a pig. How's that for equal opportunity attacks.

Do you see the same pattern here that the rest of us see?

Not at all. You want to put Clinton, Rockefeller, Reid and Martinez in the same category with Delay. This is how I would rank them in terms of badness.

Delay,Packwood
Reid, Martinez
Rockefeller
Clinton

And btw, I think Clinton was one of the best presidents of the 20th century. Deal with it!
