our comrades "conveniently" ignore the fact that the wealth that is confiscated at death, has already been taxed....

But you still avoid my question: "Do I read your comment correctly that a staggering state deficit justifies a confiscation of your property from your children when you die?" Just a yes or a no would suffice.

You keep coming back with the little picture of the fairness of this tax break and that tax break, and avoid addressing the bigger picture of my original question. So one of us is avoiding the answer, and I think it is you.
We can argue the fairness of any tax...but the critical issue is , if you have large deficits, as we do, and if there is no compromise on closing these deficits, given the administration's determination to make permanence of the current tax breaks enacted four years ago, how do you propose to close this gap? Clearly we can't go on forever with deficits of 600B yearly. This spend and borrow can't go on much longer.

>He, or rather his advisors, were the first to understand the simple fact, that rising taxes unlimited would not only strangle the economy but actually result in decreasing tax revenues.

So, when taxes are at zero the amount of revenue the government receives is maximized? Makes sense.
