Which is ridiculous and not true. AA believes the path to recovery is a spiritual one. As well, AA believes certain personalities are more prone to addiction than others, and suggests it could be genetic. Recovery involves more than talking... check out the twelve step program.

Two comments:
1. Sounds too easy to be true.
2. There have been numerous "non-addictive" drugs introduced that were anything but. Methadone is one. When Freid was touting cocaine (at the beginning of the 20th century) he raved about its nonaddictive properties.
