Even Bill Clinton expressed reservations about the ICC just before he left office and recommended that the incoming Bush administration not seek Senate ratification of it unless its "significant flaws" were addressed. The fact is the US was NEVER a party to it as it was never ratified by the US Senate. It was never ratified because those flaws were never addressed. "If only Americans would be exempt from any prosecution in it, ever. How is that for having the moral high ground?" How's THIS for moral high ground? The royal family of Saudi Arabia will be glad to hear that you approve of their exemption from jurisdiction of the ICC on the grounds of being a monarchy. Brilliant!

Still, many in this world would rather see the US aligned with Western European democracies We would too. WTH sems to be your problem? and Iraq We're allied with Iraq? Last I heard your version was that we were their invaders and suppressers. Would you provide the full title of the treaty that makes this true? I have this link where I can find the text of any treaty the US is party to. If only Americans would be exempt from any prosecution in it, ever. How is that for having the moral high ground? If France, Germany, or Monaco wishes to turn its citizens over to a politically motivated kangaroo court, that's no business of ours. We simply refuse to do so. Turkey's human rights record is far from immaculate and they are continuously having their behinds dragged from one international human rights court to another. I understand Monaco has a few problems also. Amazing for such a small place. Excuse me, have you forgotten for a minute that Monaco is a PRINCIPALITY?
