I recall reading somewhere that the final straw for Nixon was when Goldwater went to see him privately and told him that he had only 4 or 5 sure votes in the Senate. Ballgame.

The people who committed the break-in and the cover-up were prosecuted, and now we should prosecute the leakers?

No, not at this point.....But a serious review of why people in power who leak to the press, rather than follow the law, should be undertaken.

Felt is no hero. He should have gone to the proper legal authorities with his concerns. He didn't. He went to the press. He knew better.
