I'll toss out a couple of concrete suggestions for reducing the size of government and continuing deficits: eliminate farm subsidies, ethanol subsidies and the national tea board.

If your looking only for changes that have a decent chance of getting passed you are really limiting the conversation. Even something as obvious as eliminating (or greatly reducing) from subsidies, isn't likely to be passed. We could talk about trimming a billion off of farm subsidies, or subtly changing some regulation, but it sounds boring.
