JDN, Women who are mothers may get a tad more upset about a middle-aged man sleeping with young boys and claiming its completely normal and platonic. Some things are just weird and strange. Personally I think that men who aren't horrified by the basic issues here are more dangerous than a woman having an emotional reaction to the Jackson trial debacle. Jackson will probably be NAMBLA's Man of the Year. He has created a whole new defense strategy. In the past, being in bed with a young boy was enough for conviction. Creating a new standard of proving that abuse happened when everyone admits the bedroom incidents did happen is just strange. The families of the boys involved, the staff and Michael should all be in jail. Just an opinion though... Remember - Not Guilty simply means that the prosecution was outgunned - it doesn't mean he was innocent. John

I think we are trying to say women are more emotional then men and in todays world its too dangerous to rule by emotion rather one must rule by cold hard facts. Then why is it that I so often have to work so hard to to try to settle down and reason with so many of the guys around here like I was trying to do yesterday with the flag thing? Sheesh! Yes, it is more dangerous to operate from emotion. For anybody, not just women. If you think that hysteria is a female thing, add delusion to your hysteria.

I think we are trying to say women are more emotional Some of the coldest, most ruthless lawyers I have faced are women. Some women are reasonable and pleasant. I beat one in a trial long ago. I still get a cold, steely stare from her when we're in the same room. I know she hates me still even though all I did was expose the weaknesses in her case. It was very personal to her. It's best not to generalize. There are emotional men and emotional women as well as cold SOBs--and everything in between--on either side of the gender divide. Every individual is unique.
