Z, Compare the salaries of the above occupations to those of teachers.

Like I said before, here in California a teacher makes $50K a year, which isn't bad considering he or she gets the summer off as well.


Given the cost to live in CA, $50K is chickenfeed. I made that much when I first got out of school. In fact, in the LA area, a family of 4 making $50K would be eligible for Section 8 housing.

You've taught before -- summer off isn't all that great when in order to do a good job you have to work several unpaid hours every night to prepare for the next day's classes.

And how does 50K compare to other occupations that require an advanced degree?
