>> It sounds to me that you are quite clearly campaigning for some sort of synchronistic Pantheism as being ultimately "True", and Christianity in particular as ultimately false.

The operative phrase in that statement is the "sounds to me" part. I'd like this thread to be a place for civil discourse on the course of religious developments. Your discussion with Alastair McIntosh is on the right track. I'd love to hear about the timelines and historical facts each of you can bring in to present his case.

>> your initial response has not instilled much confidence that there is room for meaningful discussion here.

My initial response to you was a reminder that claiming any religion to be the "True" or "False" religion, as you blatantly did, is a no-no as clearly stated in the header. If instead you had stayed along the lines of "statement X seems to be based on man's wishful thinking because..." then I would not have had to remind you of rules of the thread.

What I am telling you is that within the topic, this is an open discussion on what you say. But it is not open to how you say it. Careful articulation is necessary in order to prevent the thread from degenerating into a public brawl and name calling.
