JF, when the Honda Insight first hit the market, discussion groups on the Internet formed for owners of these vehicles. Members on these groups shared ideas and sort of competed on who can drive most efficiently. It's become somewhat of a hobby and a sport for them.

This was about three years ago, back when gas wasn't $2/gallon.

There sure seems to be a disconnect between what I think the Hybrid is targeted to do and what the manufacturers are doing. It's not that we need bigger Hybrids, we need more of them. I'll always keep my fuel inefficient truck, it hauls stuff really well. But I'd love to have an inexpensive high mileage commuter car for the bulk of my driving.
