The risen Buddha is dead and gone and his bones were fought over and divided up by his disciples.

It was a complete marvel how many bones of the saints , pieces of the cloths & cross, and other magnificently divine artifacts were circulating around europe . At any given time thru the centuries there could be heard of at least 4 or 5 authentic "Crown of Thorns" found in europe all traveling on the same circuit , at the same time .

Just in 1950 it was Pope Pius XII that announced ---> Discovery of Peter's Tomb, and his "bones"...this link here treats gently with that "find" which turned out to be another flight of pseudo science ...but no one else may have such adorations of imagination, which often science does not play dice with

Few archaeological finds corroborate the existence of individuals mentioned in the New Testament. Biblical Archaeology Review enumerated these in its November-December 2002 issue. Significantly, Peter's bones were not mentioned. In archaeological circles, the identification is considered completely unsatisfactory. But Catholic apologists reminded the faithful that the Christian faith rests not on archaeological remains but on a risen, living Christ.

"The Buddha's body was cremated and the relics were placed in monuments or stupas, some of which are believed to have survived until the present."

He's even going on tour. Chinese/American Idol Tour

BOB ABERNETHY, anchor: There is a popular display now on a seven-year world tour -- a display of relics, physical remains, it is said, of the Buddha and other great Buddhist teachers. The tradition is that when a spiritually pure Buddhist master is cremated, his remains can include not only bone fragments but tiny pearl-like beads, called ringsel, which are believed to emit spiritual power and even to multiply. In Washington, we talked about these mysteries with Victoria Ewart, the manager of the Heart Shrine Relic Tour.

Windows on Religion ...

Now in this new technological age , you can keep the faith from a distance ,
a window to the Wailing WaLL cam:
aish.com

this gives me many ideas , because for a ittle fee you can take control and move the camera . And send an electronic "note to God" , to be placed in the Wall by a student .
The Jews think of everything , don't they?

...pretty neat stuff !

I wonder if they have a similar set-up for the Kabaa & Mecca and the Vatican ? Electronic pilgrimage.
