The problem with the neonuts "bad intelligence" excuse is its not true. Sure, there was bad intelligence, but the good news it was being sorted out in the weeks and months before the invasion. We knew the aluminum tubes couldn't be used for centrifuges. We knew the documents purporting Iraq was attempting to acquire yellow cake from Africa were forged. In fact, Dr. El Baradei and the IEA were willing (or close) to sign off that Iraq had no nuclear weapons and no nuclear weapons program. That left conventional WMD - and those false claims and faulty intelligence were being corrected too! All great news, completely ignored by Bush as he rushed to war. That makes it a lie - and Bush should be impeached.
